NOTE:  The Skating Rink used by our Area is undergoing renovation this year, so we will not be running the program.   We are hopefull skating will return for the 2025 Season.

Area 26 has a very active skating program, with both Figure and Speed Skating teams competing in the Winter Season, come glide with us...

Figure Skating

Our Figure skating  program includes basic skill development and competition in singles skating in which the athletes have the opportunity to skate to music that has been choreographed for them.

Speed Skating

Speed Skating is an exciting SO Winter Sport. We practice and compete in Mount Vernon from December to February, gliding our way to glory.

Athletes are drilled on Starts, crossovers, arm swings, and proper stroking technique.
