Athletes are coached on the fundamentals, etiquette, and rules of bowling. Each practice
begins with warm up exercises, followed by training and ends with bowling two to three
games.
Registration for the Spring 2011 season is now open. The season opens on February 21, 2011
and ends on March 15, 2011. Please review the attached document carefully, as it contains
important information about the season, practice locations, and registration. As with last
spring, this seaon will be open to both youth and adult bowlers with youth bowlers
practicing in Falls Church and adult bowlers practicing in Fairfax. To download the PDF,

All bowlers should e-mail the following information to the Bowling Coordinator or by direct
reply to this e-mail:
1. Name, Age, and contact information (phone and e-mail);
2. Date of birth so we can check on the status of your medical;
3. Contact information for a parent/guardian/counselor or friend whom we can contact if
we are unable to reach you; and
4. Average (if you have one) or approximate ability.
We will confirm receipt of your information and advise you as to the status of your medical.
All athletes will receive an e-mail by March 18th confirming their registration status.

Who: All skill levels from first time bowlers to very experienced bowlers
Where:Bowl America Fairfax, 9699 Lee Highway,Fairfax, VA 22031-2321
When: Sundays from 12:45-3:30pm
Equipment: Bowling balls and shoes are available free of charge at the practice site.
Wear: For practice, athletes should wear loose fitting tops and bottoms.
Competition: Special Olympics of Virginia Summer Games held in Richmond the beginning of
June.
Bowlers eligible for the Summer Games will be determined by the results of a competition in
April. Bowlers who rely on lane bumpers are not eligible for competition.
